Maine and Stony Brook Keep Rolling; #AEHoops Week #5 Awards Announced
BOSTON – Hartford, Maine, New Hampshire and Stony Brook all had unbeaten weeks on the hardwood. The Seawolves won a pair of games, stretching their win streak to eight. Their 8-1 record marks the program's best start to a season since 1988-89. The Black Bears have won five straight after beating a pair of Ive League opponents and are off to their best start (7-1) since the 1997-98 season. Maine’s Blanca Millan and Vermont’s Hanna Crymble each eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for their careers last week.

Player of the Week
Blanca Millan, Maine – Jr., Guard, Santiago de Compostela, Spain
- Averaged 31.0 points per game in two wins over Ivy League opponents.
- Scored career-high 36 points in overtime win against Brown.
- Shot 52 percent from the field while averaging 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 blocks.
- This is Millan’s second consecutive #AEHoops Player of the Week award and fifth of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Kari Brekke, New Hampshire – Fr., Guard, Appleton, Wisc.
- Averaged 7.5 points and 6.0 assists in 2-0 week for the Wildcats.
- Finished with nine points, eight assists and three steals in Sunday’s win over Holy Cross.
- Her eight assists are a career-high.
- This is Brekke’s first career #AEHoops honor.
