Record 16 #AEMSOC Standouts Earn All-Region Honors

Sixteen America East men's soccer standouts earned All-Region distinction from the United Soccer Coaches Association this week, the most in conference history.

All 16 choices earned All-Northeast Region status joining honorees from the Ivy League and Northeast Conference. 

America East Defender of the Year Josh Bauer and Goalkeeper of the Year Lars Huxsohl from New Hampshire headlined the first-team selections also with two other Wildcats, Antonio Colacci and Jack Doherty. Vermont's Geo Alves, the league's Striker of the Year, UMBC's Jon Bell and UMass Lowell's Jakov Basic rounded out selections as America East comprised seven of the 11 first-team choices. 

Second-team choices included Midfielder of the Year Martieon Watson from Stony Brook as UAlbany's Daniel Krutzen and Nico Solabarrieta, UMass Lowell's Ivan Blaskic and Vermont's Justin Freitas and Mikel Kabala.

Stony Brook's Jarred Dass and Serge Gamwanya and UMass Lowell's Roko Prsa were third-team choices.
