Six Tabbed Academic All-District Honorees by CoSIDA
BOSTON – Several standout student-athletes have been recognized by CoSIDA for their academic and athletic achievements as six America East fall student-athletes were named to Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams this fall.
Hartford’s Sierra Stone and New Hampshire’s Mia Neas were All-District I choices in women’s soccer while Hartford’s Fredrik Ekman, UMass Lowell’s Ivan Blaskic and Vermont’s Arnar Steinn Hansson were All-District I selections in men’s soccer. Hartford’s Megan Anderson and New Hampshire’s Mali Jereczek were All-District I choices in volleyball.
All six honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot.
The 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom.
America East has had numerous Academic All-District and All-America honorees over the years. Additionally, the conference has one of the most comprehensive academic awards programs in the country, honoring over 2,500 student-athletes each year through six distinct programs.
