UMBC Runs Win Streak to Four; Week #2 Men's #AEHoops Awards Handed Out
BOSTON – UMBC won all three of its games last week to improve to 4-1 on the young season. The 4-1 start matches the Retrievers’ best start in their DI era (2007-08, 2016-17). Stony Brook also improved to 3-1 and UMass Lowell picked up a pair of wins.

Co-Player of the Week
Akwasi Yeboah, Stony Brook – Jr., Forward, Chigwell, England
- Averaged 19.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in two games last week.
- Had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Norfolk State Saturday.
- This is Yeboah’s second-straight #AEHoops Player of the Week honor and second of his career.
Co-Player of the Week
Anthony Lamb, Vermont – Jr., Forward, Rochester, N.Y.
- Averaged 18.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in three games last week.
- Had 24 and 25 points, respectively, in games at #2 Kansas and Louisville.
- This is Lamb’s first #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of the season and his career.
Rookie of the Week
Alex Rivera, UMass Lowell – Fr., Guard, Lowell, Mass.
- Averaged 15.3 points. 3.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in four games last week.
- Shot 62 percent from the field including 48 percent from three-point land.
- Had a career-best 20 points in a win over Sacred Heart Sunday.
- This is Rivera’s first career #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
