Three Teams Garner Final #AEFH Awards; Championship Starts Thursday
BOSTON – The 2018 America East field hockey regular season concluded on Sunday as the championship bracket was established. #17 UAlbany and #21 Stanford clinched the top seeds for the fourth consecutive year. The tournament begins with quarterfinal action on Thursday. All games will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV.

Bloem van den Brekel, New Hampshire – So., Midfield, Eindhoven, Netherlands
- Scored a career-high three goals to lead the Wildcats’ win over Dartmouth Sunday.
- Recorded a game-high five shots.
- This is her first career #AEFH Offensive Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week
Marlise van Tonder, Pacific – So., Goalkeeper, Pretoria, South Africa
- Held Stanford and California to one goal apiece in two league wins for the Tigers.
- van Tonder made nine saves in 2-1 win over #21 Stanford on Friday that helped Pacific clinch a share of the West Division regular season title.
- This is her second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Lily Croddick, Stanford – Fr., Attack, Rumson, N.J.
- Scored one of three goals for the Cardinal in 3-0 win over UC Davis.
- Took three shots.
- This is the first time Croddick has been named #AEFH Rookie of the Week.
