#AEFH Awards Announced Entering Final Week of Regular Season
BOSTON – More competitive #AEFH action was on display last weekend as programs enter the final week of the 2018 regular season. UMass Lowell and New Hampshire earned critical wins while #17 UAlbany won a pair of games against ranked opponents in #15 Maine and #10 Louisville.
One final championship berth will be clinched this weekend by either UMass Lowell or New Hampshire. The Wildcats would punch their ticket with a win over UAlbany Friday and a River Hawks loss to Maine. The River Hawks clinch with a win over the Black Bears Sunday.
The #AEFH Championship bracket will be announced at approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday. Championship play will begin with the quarterfinals on Thursday, November 1. All games will be played at Stanford University with the title game being played that Sunday, November 4.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kriekie van Wyk, Pacific – Sr., Forward, Pretoria, South Africa
- Scored a hat trick in Pacific’s win over UC Davis.
- Also tallied a goal against Stanford on Friday.
- This is her second Offensive Player of the Week award this season and fourth of her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Melissa Nealon, UAlbany – Jr., Goalkeeper, Mechanicville, N.Y.
- Recorded two shutouts, both against ranked opponents, in 2-0 week for the Great Danes.
- Nealon made seven total saves against #10 Louisville and #16 Maine.
- This is Nealon’s third Defensive Player of the Week honor this year.
Rookie of the Week
Jenna Berger, UMass Lowell – Fr., Forward, Waterloo, Ontario
- Scored both goals for the River Hawks in win over UNH.
- Took a game-high five shots in critical win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
- This is the second time Berger has been named #AEFH Rookie of the Week.
