UNH & UMBC Captures #AESD Week #2 Awards
BOSTON – The second official week of the 2018-19 #AESD season included the season-opening meet for New Hampshire, in which the Wildcats out-touched Vermont by .11 seconds in the last relay event to secure the 155-145 victory.

Female Swimmer of the Week
Corinne Carbone, New Hampshire – Jr., Free/IM, Medway, MA.
- Won three individual events and was the anchor in the winning relay that out-touched Vermont by .11 seconds.
- Won the 100 free (53.28), 200 free (1:54.44), and 200 IM (2:08.95).
- This is Carbone’s first #AESD Swimmer of the Week award this season.
Male Swimmer of the Week
Ilia Rattsev, UMBC – Jr., Sprint/Mid Free, Moscow, Russia
- Finished first in the 50 free (20.85), 100 free (45.91) and the 200 free (1:40.32).
- Was also on the 200 medley relay team that took second (1:30.96).
- This is Rattsev’s first #AESD Swimmer of the Week award this season.
Female Diver of the Week
Allison Stefanelli, New Hampshire – Jr., Diver, Loudonville, NY.
- Won the 3-meter event with a score of 252.97.
- Took second place in the 1-meter event with a score of 244.42, just behind first place by less than 10 points.
- Helped the Wildcats secure the 155-145 win over Vermont.
- This is Stefanelli’s first #AESD Diver of the Week awarded this season.
