Top-15 Finishes Lead to #AEXC Week #6 Awards
BOSTON – Four #AEXC programs competed at the New England Cross Country Championships last weekend at Franklin Park in Boston. The New Hampshire women and UMass Lowell men both finished in the top ten.
Here are this week’s conference awards:
Female Performer of the Week
Meg Champagne, New Hampshire – Jr., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
- Placed ninth overall at the New England Cross Country Championships.
- Finished the 5K varsity race in 18:17.6, pacing the Wildcats to fourth place.
- This is her first #AEXC award of the season.
Male Performer of the Week
Aaron Willingham, Maine – Sr., Farmington, Maine
- Finished 11th out of almost 200 runners at the New England Cross Country Championships.
- Ran the 8K in 25:20.6.
- This is Willingham’s third Performer of the Week award of the season.
