Stony Brook, Vermont Off to 2-0 Starts, Men's #AEHoops Week #9 Awards Announced
BOSTON – Stony Brook and Vermont both got off to 2-0 starts in league play as conference action got underway for all nine men’s #AEHoops teams last week. The eight conference games were decided by an average of 5.9 points with five of those games decided by five points or less. The Catamounts extended their league-record conference win streak to 23 games. That is the longest-active win streak in the country.

Co-Player of the Week
Aaron Calixte, Maine – Jr., Guard, Stoughton, Mass.
- Contributed 19.5 points., 6.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for Maine.
- Shot 67 percent (12-of-18) from the field.
- Had 21 points, eight assists and five rebounds vs. Stony Brook Wednesday.
- Had 18 points and four assists in a win at Binghamton Saturday.
- This is Calixte’s first career Player of the Week honor.
Co-Player of the Week
Ernie Duncan, Vermont – Jr., Guard, Evansville, Ind.
- Averaged 17.7 points and 3.3 rebounds to lead Vermont to a 3-0 week.
- Shot 67 percent (16-of-24) from the field overall and 60 percent from three-point land (9-for-15).
- Scored a career-best 32 points on 10-of-11 shooting in Vermont’s win over UMass Lowell Wednesday.
- This is Duncan’s first career Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Josh Hopkins, New Hampshire – Fr., Guard, Greensboro, N.C.
- Averaged 10.0 points in a pair of UNH games last week.
- Was one of two Wildcats in twin figures scoring 13 points, including 10 after halftime, in the New Hampshire’s win over Albany Saturday.
- This is Hopkins’ second-straight Rookie of the Week honor.
