BOSTON - A matchup between two of the biggest rivals in #AEHoops will be televised on ESPNU when Albany hosts Vermont in men's basketball action on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. ESPN selected the Albany-Vermont game out of the four league contests being played that night and the conference office made the announcement Thursday morning.

It will be the 11th straight year ESPNU has televised an America East regular-season contest.

The game features a rematch of last year's America East championship game won by Vermont in Burlington, 56-53. The two teams, which were picked first and second in the league's preseason poll, have combined to win five of the last six and 11 of the last 15 #AEHoops titles.

Vermont (14-5, 4-0 AE) is currently riding a seven-game win streak and has won 25-consecutive conference games. That streak is the longest-active streak in the nation and an all-time conference record.

Albany (14-6, 2-3 AE) got off to its best start in its Division I history at 11-1 and have wins over Stony Brook and UMass Lowell in conference play.

The two teams will play Jan. 24 in Burlington before the Feb. 8 matchup in Albany.

The other three contests that night will air on The AEonESPN3. ESPN and the Watch ESPN app are the home for America East basketball and other select sports.
