Seven Teams Earn Victories in Conference Play as Week 10 WBB #AEHoops Awards Announced

BOSTON – The second week of conference play in women's #AEHoops included Albany winning two games, Stony Brook and UMBC picking up their first conference wins of the season and Binghamton defeating previously undefeated Hartford. With a pair of victories, the Great Danes have now won three straight games after starting league play 0-1. They, alongside Hartford, have the best records in conference play at 3-1. New Hampshire also went unbeaten last week, winning their lone game in the final seconds on the road against Binghamton.

Player of the Week
Jessica Féquière, Albany – Sr., F, Montreal, Quebec
  • Averaged 25.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in 2-0 week for the Great Danes.
  • Scored a career-high 35 points on 67% shooting in win over Maine.
  • Shot 58% from three-point range in two games cominbed.
  • It is her third #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of the season.
 
Rookie of the Week
McKenzie Bushee, Stony Brook – Fr., Fr, Pittsburgh
  • Averaged 5.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in 1-1 week for Stony Brook.
  • Grabbed seven rebounds against Vermont to help the Seawolves to their first conference win of the season.
  • Combined to shoot 5-for-15 on the week.
  • It is Bushee’s second #AEHoops Rookie of the Week award this season.
