Binghamton's Schaffer, Maine's Lawrence Earn First Career #AEXC Weekly Honors
BOSTON – Maine and New Hampshire ran in a dual meet this past weekend, splitting the two races. The Maine men’s team earned their first victory of 2017 on the 8K course and the New Hampshire women’s team ran a 5K, also winning their first meet of the season.
Here are this week’s award winners –
Male Performer of the Week
Dan Schaffer, Binghamton – Fr., Endicott, N.Y.
- Won the Buffalo Stampede Invite in a time of 24:38
- His first career collegiate victory came with a five second advantage over the second place finisher
- It is Schaffer’s first career #AEXC Male Performer of the Week honor
Female Performer of the Week
Haley Lawrence, Maine – Jr., Ellsworth, Maine
- Won the 5K dual meet against New Hampshire in a time of 19:09
- Lawrence finished the race 11 seconds ahead of the next runner
- It is her first career #AEXC Female Performer of the Week honor
