#AEMSOC Squads Raise Win Percentage to .632, Week #4 Honors Unveiled

BOSTON – America East men’s soccer teams continued their non-conference success last week, posting a .700 winning percentage by going 8-2-5. Overall this season, #AEMSOC squads are touting a .632 winning percentage and have had three different programs nationally ranked this season. New Hampshire, which leads the country with a 0.13 team goals-against average, is one of 13 unbeaten teams in the nation.

Here are the conference's week four award winners:

Player of the Week
Jakov Basic, UMass Lowell – Jr., Midfielder, Zagreb, Croatia
  • Tallied a conference-best six points by scoring three goals in two games last week.
  • Has the River Hawks’ lone score in a 1-1 tie with Quinnipiac.
  • Registered his first career multi-goal effort with two goals in a 3-2 win over Monmouth.
  • This is Basic’s first #AEMSOC Player of the Week honor of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Owen Fingar, Albany – Fr., Forward, Scotia, N.Y.
  • Scored the game-winning goal in Albany’s lone contest of the week, a 3-1 win over American.
  • This is Basic’s first career #AEMSOC Rookie of the Week award.

Twelve more America East men’s soccer games take place this week, including a pair on AmericaEast.TV, the place to watch free live content on any device, including the network's Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Android TV OTT channels. UMass Lowell’s contest at Akron will air on ESPN3.
