Cameron Avery, Tiana Guevara Earn First #AEXC Awards of Season

BOSTON – Last week marked the beginning of Hartford’s cross country season at the Nassaney Invitational in Rhode Island. Three America East teams did not compete after opening their seasons the weekend prior.
 
Here are this week’s award winners –
 
 
Male Performer of the Week
Cameron Avery, Stony Brook – So., Christchurch, New Zealand
  • Took first in the men's 8k with a time of 24:23.00 at the Wolfie Invitational
  • Helped the Seawovles take first as a team with 15 points
 
Female Performer of the Week
Tiana Guevara, Stony Brook – Sr., Miller Place, N.Y.
  • Took second in the women's 5k with a time of 17:50.19
  • Helped the Seawolves take second overall with 33 points
  • Stony Brook competed against Seton Hall, Monroe, Fairfield, and Marist

Sept. 6 – Male Performer of the Week: Vann Moffett, Stony Brook; Female Performer of the Week: Kathryn Loughnane, UMass Lowell
