BOSTON – Six of America East’s nine #AEFH programs earned wins last week, including three over ranked opponents. Stanford defeated then-#20 Harvard, 2-1, on Sept. 4 while Albany beat #16 Boston University, 3-1, on Friday and UNH beat #17 Iowa, 3-2, also on Friday. Three teams are ranked in the NFHCA Top-25 with Stanford (#12) moving up a spot and Albany remaining at #20 while Pacific re-entered the poll at #24, America East is joined by the ACC and B1G as the only conferences with three teams ranked.
Here are the conference's week three award winners:
Offensive Player & Rookie of the Week
Megan Rodgers, California – Fr., Forward/Midfielder, San Diego, Calif.
- Tallied a conference-best 11 points on five goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for Cal.
- Had a hat trick and added an assist in an 8-0- win over Bryant.
- Scored both of the Bears’ goals in a 2-1 win over Northeastern.
- This is Rogers’ first career #AEFH Offensive Player of the Week honor as well as her first Rookie of the Week recognition.
Defensive Player of the Week
Danielle Mentink, California – So., Goalkeeper, Davis, Calif.
- Went 2-0 with league bests of a 0.64 GAA and a .933 save percentage to lead Cal to two wins last week.
- Stopped 14 of 16 shots she faced.
- Had a career-high 12 saves in a 2-1 overtime win over Northeastern Sunday.
- This is Mentink’s first #AEFH Defensive Player of the Week honor of her career.

The first conference contest of 2017 also takes place this week when Stanford hosts Pacific on Thursday in a west division matchup.
