UNH Stays Unbeaten; Erdei, Luescher Net #AEMSOC Week #3 Honors
BOSTON – New Hampshire, which entered the United Soccer Coaches Division I rankings at #24 last week, remained unbeaten on the season after posting a win and a tie last week. #AEMSOC squads are a combined 22-13-3 on the season, good for a .618 win percentage. America East is one of just seven conferences with multiple programs ranked nationally as UMass Lowell was #12 last week.
Here are the conference's week three award winners:
Player of the Week
Vince Erdei, Stony Brook – Sr., Forward, Budapest, Hungary
- Tallied a conference-best five points on two goals and an assist in an unbeaten week for Stony Brook.
- Had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over Central Conn. State Thursday.
- Tallied Stony Brook’s lone goal with less than 20 minutes left in a 1-1 tie vs. Hofstra Saturday.
- This is Erdei’s first #AEMSOC Player of the Week honor of the season and second of his career (11/2/15).
Rookie of the Week
Noah Luescher, Binghamton – Fr., Midfielder, Meisterschwanden, Switzerland
- Had a goal and an assist in Binghamton’s lone game last week.
- Ranks third in the conference with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists) on the season.
- This is Luescher’s second career #AEMSOC Rookie of the Week award (8/28).

New Hampshire’s game vs. Holy Cross on Wednesday will air on ESPN3, home to over 30 America East events this fall.
