Over 30 Events to be Produced for 'The AE on ESPN' This Fall
BOSTON – Poised for the second year of The AE on ESPN3, America East schools will produce over 30 live events for ESPN3 during the 2017 fall season. The AE on ESPN3 is the home of more than 3,000 games from a variety of sports over the next decade.
The 2017 fall slate will include 32 events across four sports: field hockey (5), men’s and women’s soccer (11 each) and volleyball (5). Albany, Binghamton, Hartford, Maine and New Hampshire will produce events this fall.
Just one year removed from entering an 11-year agreement with ESPN, America East’s nine member institutions are working collaboratively with ESPN and the conference office to produce live content directly for ESPN. After nearly 200 school-produced events aired on ESPN3 in 2016-17, over 250 productions are anticipated in 2017-18, including all #AEHoops contests. All contests not produced for ESPN3 can be seen on AmericaEast.TV, including the Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Android TV OTT channels
