2nd Annual America East Health & Safety Summit Set For June 6-7

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – After holding a successful first Health & Safety Summit a year ago, the America East will conduct the event for a second-straight year, June 6-7 at Stony Brook University. The summit, the cornerstone of the conference's #AEThinksHealthy initiative, will focus on the enhancement of student-athlete well-being on each of America East's campuses.

Over 60 attendees from all nine America East institutions will attend the Health & Safety Summit providing an opportunity for them to hear from respected speakers in the field as well as discuss relevant issues and share ideas and best practices. Attendees will include member institutions' athletic trainers, team physicians, student-athlete services professionals and administrators and America East SAAC representatives.

The summit, which highlights America East's continued focus on student-athlete well-being across the conference, will welcome national leaders in the sports medicine field to speak and educate on a wide range of topics including mental health, nutrition, concussion and head trauma, student-athlete well being and more.
