BOSTON – Albany, Hartford and Stony Brook began their 2017 seasons over the weekend. The Great Danes had the strongest showing, going 4-2 to start their season. Here are the week #3 award winners:
Player of the Week
Liz Snow, Albany - Sr., C, Long Beach, Calif.
- Hit .529 in a 4-2 week for Albany going 9-for-17 and had a .609 on base percentage.
- Belted six doubles for an .882 slugging percentage.
- Drove in six and scored five runs.
- This is Snow's first Player of the Week honor of the season.
Pitcher of the Week
Kaysee Talcik, UMass Lowell - So., Pitcher, Shelton, Conn.
- Complete-game win against North Dakota, allowing just two hits.
- Struck out a career-high eight hitter.
- THis is her first Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Maddie Daigneau, UMBC - Fr., SS, New River, Ariz.
- Hit .438 in five games going 7-for-16 and had a .550 on base percentage.
- Had a pair of doubles.Drove in three.
- This is Daigneau's second-consecutive Rookie of the Week honor.
