BOSTON – Stony Brook earned one of the most impressive wins of the 2017 men's lacrosse season Saturday, downing #10/9 Brown, 25-17, in Providence. Albany, UMBC and UMass Lowell also earned wins last week.
Stony Brook entered the Maverik Media Poll at #18 this week, while Albany is #15.

Offensive Player of the Week
Connor Fields, Albany - Jr., Attacker, East Amherst, N.Y.
- Racked up a career-high 10 points in Albany's 19-8 win at Drexel Saturday.
- Scored six goals and added four assists.
- Picked up five ground balls.
- This is his first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season and third of his career (3/7/16, 3/28/16).
Defensive Player of the Week
JD Colarusso, Albany - Jr., Goalkeeper, Poughquag, N.Y.
- Made a career-high 19 saves, including six in the fourth quarter, in Albany's 19-8 win at Drexel.
- Recorded a .704 save percentage.
- Also picked up five ground balls.
- This is his first career Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Cory VanGinhoven, Stony Brook - Fr., Attacker, Fort Mill, N.C.
- Tallied eight points on seven goals and an assist in Stony Brook's win at #10/9 Brown Saturday.
- Had three goals, including two seven seconds apart, and an assist in the first quarter as Stony Brook jumped out to an 8-0 lead after one.
- The seven goals are the third most by a Seawolf in a game.
- This is his first career Rookie of the Week honor.
