Binghamton Extends Win Streak to 4; Bruce Highlights MBB #AEHoops Week #4 Awards
BOSTON – Binghamton posted wins over Delaware State and Colgate last week to extend its win streak to four games, its longest since 2010. Albany (8-1) and Stony Brook (3-5) also won a pair of games.
Vermont (6-2) has the league’s best RPI (31) according to the Dec. 4 RPIratings.com ratings. It’s the best ranking for an America East team since Vermont finished the 2004-05 season at #25.

Player of the Week
Thomas Bruce, Binghamton – Jr., Center, Washington, D.C.
- Averaged a double-double of 20.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in a pair of Binghamton wins last week.
- Shot 74 percent from the field (14-of-19) and was 12-of-13 from the free throw line.
- Scored a game-high 26 points and added 12 rebounds in a win over Colgate Saturday.
- This is Bruce’s first career Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Elijah Olaniyi, Stony Brook – Fr., Guard, Newark, N.J.
- Averaged 14.5 points on 61 percent shooting (11-of-18) to go with 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in two Stony Brook wins last week.
- Had 13 points in in Stony Brook’s comeback win over St. Francis (Pa.) Saturday.
- This is his second-straight Rookie of the Week honor and second of the season.
