Cornish Leads Stony Brook to Win at Rutgers, Earns #AEHoops Player of Week Honor
BOSTON – Stony Brook won at Rutgers in overtime last week, the second time in as many seasons an #AEHoops team has beaten a B1G squad. Vermont improved to 8-5 with a win over Quinnipiac while Albany nearly upset Louisville, falling 70-68.

Player of the Week
Jaron Cornish, Stony Brook – Jr., Guard, Abaco, Bahamas
- Contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals in Stony Brook’s win at Rutgers Wednesday.
- Forced overtime with a steal and 3-pointer in final seconds of regulation.
- This is Cornish’s first career Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Obadiah Noel, UMass Lowell – Fr., Guard, Frederick, Md.
- Scored a career-high 19 points in just 21 minutes of action vs. Central Conn. State Thursday.
- Shot 7-of-9 from the floor including a perfect 4-of-4 from three-point land.
- This is his second Rookie of the Week honor of the season (11/13).
