New Hampshire, Binghamton Share #AESD Week 4 Awards

BOSTON – In the final weekend of October, three America East swimming and diving programs picked up dual meet wins. New Hampshire defeated Central Connecticut State on the road by a score of 206-144 and both the men’s and women’s teams for Binghamton won their meets at Colgate by scores of 192-105 and 162-134, respectively.
 
Here are this week’s award winners:
 
Female Swimmer of the Week
Liza Baykova, New Hampshire – Sr., Freestyle, Moscow, Russia

• Won three individual events and was a member of two winning relay teams for the Wildcats
• Set a pool record in the 100 free with a time of 51.28 and broke it again while leading off the 400 free relay with a time of 51.13
• It is her second #AESD Swimmer of the Week award this season

 
Male Swimmer of the Week
Alex Brion, Binghamton – Jr., Freestyle, Canandaigua, N.Y.

• Won all four events he competed in amidst a dual meet victory over Colgate
• Took first in the 50 free and 100 free in times of 21.30 and 47.75, respectively
• Was also a member of the winning 200 medley and 400 free relay

 
Female Diver of the Week
Hailee Miller, New Hampshire – Sr., Dives, Milton, Mass.

• Won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 231.50
• Placed second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 201.80
• It is Miller’s first #AESD Diver of the Week honor this season

 
Male Diver of the Week
Ryan O’Connell, Binghamton – Sr., Dives, Congers, N.Y.

• Won both dives in the Bearcats’ dual meet victory against Colgate
• Recorded 288.90 points in the 1-meter and 264.15 in the 3-meter
• It is his second consecutive #AESD Diver of the Week award
