The field, seeds and matchups for the 2017 America East Men’s Soccer Championship are set following the final day of the regular-season that saw Vermont capture its first regular-season title since 2012 and UMBC and Stony Brook earn the final two tournament bids.

With four programs - Albany, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire and Vermont - having already secured bids to the tournament entering Wednesday, Stony Brook downed UMBC, 2-0, to earn the #6 seed. The Retrievers got the #5 seed by virtue of losses by Binghamton and Hartford.

Vermont tied New Hampshire, 1-1, to earn its third regular-season title in program history and the top seed for the America East Championship. UMass Lowell, which will be playing in its first America East Championship after completing its four-year transition to Division I, earned the #2 seed with a 2-0 win over Hartford. Albany beat Binghamton, 2-0, and will be the #4 seed.

The championship gets underway with quarterfinal action on Saturday, Nov. 4 as #4 Albany hosts #5 UMBC at 2 p.m. and #3 New Hampshire hosts #6 Stony Brook at 7 p.m. Semifinal action takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 8 with #2 UMass Lowell welcoming the New Hampshire-Stony Brook winner and #1 Vermont hosting the Albany-UMBC winner.
