#AEWSOC Season Hits Midway Point, Week #8 Awards Unveiled

BOSTON – Just two weeks remain in the #AEWSOC regular season and New Hampshire sits atop the league standings, followed closely by Hartford and Stony Brook. The Wildcats have 12points and a 4-1-0 record while the Hawks follow closely with 10 points at 3-1-1 and the Seawolves, who handed UNH its first league loss Sunday, have nine points and are 3-1-0.  
 
Conference play continues with games Thursday and Sunday this week. The majority of #AEWSOC conference games will appear on AmericaEast.TV, the place to watch free live content on any device, including the network's Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Android TV OTT channels. Here are the conference's week eight award winners:

Player of the Week
Rachel Morrier, UMass Lowell – Jr., Midfielder, Plaistow, N.H.
  • Scored all four goals as UMass Lowell went 1-0-1 in conference action last week.
  • Had two scores in a 2-2 tie with Vermont Thursday and two more in a 2-1 over Albany Sunday.
  • This is Morrier’s first career #AEWSOC Player of the Week honor.
Co- Rookie of the Week
Genna Michitti, Binghamton – Fr., Forward, Binghamton, N.Y.
  • Had a goal and an assist in Binghamton’s 3-0 win over UMBC Sunday.
  • This is Michitti’s first career #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor.
Co- Rookie of the Week
Fanny Gotesson, Stony Brook – Fr., Forward, Varnamo, Sweden
  • Assisted on both Stony Brook goals in a 2-1 win over UNH Sunday.
  • The loss was the Wildcats’ first in five conference games.
  • This is Gotesson's first career #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week honor.
