BOSTON – Vermont took control of the #AEMSOC standings over the weekend, moving into first place with a 2-0 win over Binghamton. With just one regular-season date remaining, the Catamounts have locked up a share of the regular-season title the first time since 2012. New Hampshire and UMass Lowell are tied for second place with 12 points, just three back of UVM. The River Hawks stunned the Wildcats with a 1-0 double overtime win Saturday. Those three teams, along with Albany (10 pts), have clinched America East Championship bids. The other four programs all remain alive for the final two bids: UMBC (7 pts.), Binghamton (5), Hartford (4) Stony Brook (3) and Hartford (1) all remain alive for the championship berths. The top six teams in the #AEMSOC standings will qualify for the 2017 America East Men’s Soccer Championship, which takes place Nov. 4, 8 and 12 at the highest seed in each round.

#AEMSOC teams compiled a .598 non-conference win percentage in non-conference play this season, the third-best rate in Division I, trailing only the ACC and BIG. New Hampshire was ranked 17th in the nation and had the 13th-best RPI last week.

The majority of #AEMSOC conference games will appear on AmericaEast.TV, the place to watch free live content on any device, including the network's Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Android TV OTT channels. Select contests will air on ESPN3, home to over 30 America East school-produced events this fall. Full #AEMSOC Schedule/Results
