BOSTON - The New Hampshire Wildcats continue to roll with three wins last week and hold a two-game lead on first place in the America East women's basketball standings. UNH has won 10-straight and is 6-0 in the conference as the team is having its best year in program history. Here are the week 11 award winners:
Player of the Week
Carlie Pogue, New Hampshire, Jr., C, Cincinnati, Ohio
- Averaged 18.0 points on 52.5% shooting along with 9.7 rebounds per game in a 3-0 week.
- Notched 15 points and 12 boards in a win over Vermont.
- Had 14 points and nine rebounds in a win over Maine.
- Posted 25 points on 10-12 shooting along with eight rebounds in a win over Hartford to give UNH sole possession of 1st place.
Rookie of the Week
Hanna Crymble, Vermont, Fr., F, Champlin, Minn.
- Averaged 19.5 points on 60% shooting along with 7.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week.
- Had 15 points on 5-8 shooting to go with five boards in a loss to UNH.
- Scored a career-high 24 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and finished 9-10 from the free throw line in a win at UMass Lowell.
