Albany, Stony Brook and Vermont Take Home #AETF Awards

BOSTON – The Indoor Track and Field season resumed this past weekend after nearly a month without competition. Albany men and women finished in the top four at the Great Dane Classic while Stony Brook went 3-0 at the Vince Forte Invitational.

Here are this week’s award winners:

 

Male Track Performer of the Week

Romario Bailey, Vermont – Sr., Sprints, Montego Bay, Jamaica

  • Tabbed first in the 60m dash (6.93) while also winning the 200m (22.63)

Male Field Performer of the Week

Kingsley Ogbonna, UAlbany - Sr., High Jump, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.

  • Tied for first in high jump at Great Dane Classic
  • Indoor season personal-best of 7-00.25 (2.14m)
  • Satisfied IC4A qualifying standard
  • Tied former teammate Alexander Bowen Jr.

Female Track Performer of the Week

Dayleen Santana Rodriguez, UAlbany - So., Sprints, Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico

  • Won 60m dash at Great Dane Classic in 7.52
  • Breaks previous school record of 7.55 set in 1998 by Ellakisha Williamson, matched in 2010 by Feyisara Adaramola
  • Hit ECAC qualifying standard in 60m dash

Female Field Performer of the Week

Cameryn Miller, Stony Brook – Fr., Throws ,

  • Won the women's shot put marking 35-02/10.73m
