BOSTON - Conference play is underway in America East women's soccer with Hartford, Maine, New Hampshire and UMass Lowell all earning wins in their first league games on Sunday. All four teams won by way of a shutout. Here are the week six award winners:
Player of the Week
Tori Tripp, Hartford, Sr., M, London, England
- Had a season-high five points in Hartford's 5-0 win over Binghamton to open conference play.
- All five points came in a 12-minute span.
- She assisted on Aaliyah Ingram's goal in the 79th minute before netting goals of her own in both the 87th and 89th minutes
- The five points are the most by a Hawk since last season's 6-0 win again Iona when both Tripp and Ingram notched six points.
Rookie of the Week
Liz Lane, New Hampshire, Fr., Porter, Maine
- Scored one goal and added an assist in New Hampshire's 4-0 win over UMBC.
