#AESD Programs, Individuals Honored With CSCAA Scholar All-American Distinction

Four America East swimming & diving programs and a pair of individuals have been honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic success during the 2015-16 season. 

The four women's programs- Binghamton, UMBC, New Hampshire and Vermont- all received Scholar All-America distinction and were among 658 programs across all divisions and genders to earn the honor. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a collective grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the 2016 spring semester.  

Additionally, UMBC's Emily Escobedo and Coco Darelius were among 853 student-athletes acrosse all divisions and both genders to earn Scholar All-America honors.

Escobedo was the Most Outstanding Swimmer at the America East Championship for the third-straight year and became the conference's first-ever swimming All-American this year.

Darelius earned Most Outstanding Diver accolades at the America East Championship for the second time in three years and competed in the NCAA Zone Championships. 

To be honored as a CSCAA Scholar All-American, student-athletes must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
