UMBC women's lacrosse sophomore midfielder Marissa Davey (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) earned a place on the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District™ Women's At-Large Team.

Women's lacrosse is among the 26 men's and women's NCAA sports which comprise the At-Large teams.

Davey, who is maintaining a perfect 4.00 grade-point average in mechanical engineering, finished third on 2016 team in scoring with 32 goals and 12 assists. She also placed third on the 9-8 squad with 22 draw controls and produced five hat tricks or better this season.

Davey was recently tabbed to the 2016 America East All-Academic Team. She tallied a career-high six goals and seven points in a victory at UMass Lowell in early April and recorded 17 points (13g, 4a) in six 2016 league contests.

In 32 career games, she has amassed 71 total points.

The Academic All-District™ teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada.  This is the fifth year of the expanded Academic All-America® program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non-Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored. The expanded teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, while the College Division Academic All-America® Team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.

First-team Academic All-District™  honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
