BOSTON - Just three America East softball programs- Albany, UMBC and Stony Brook- were in action last week and each picked up at least one victory. Read about the week #3 weekly award winners below:
Player of the Week
Kaelin Jackson, UMBC - Jr., 3B, Export, Pa.
- Batted .833 in three games with a 2.000 slugging percentage and .889 OBP
- Reached base nine times in 10 plate appearances, and went 5-for-6 with a double, 2-run home run homer and three walks
- Drove in three runs and scored three runs.
Pitcher of the Week
Kim Puccio, UMBC - Fr., P, Sparta, N.J.
- Allowed just one earned run in six innings of relief work last week.
- Registered a 1.24 ERA.
- Struck out six and walked none.
Rookie of the Week
McKenzie Bump, Albany - Fr., 3b, Averill Park, N.Y.
- Hit .400 (6-for-15) on the weekend with a .667 slugging percentage.
- Belted two doubles and triple.
- Scored runs and drove in three.
