BOSTON - Both Binghamton and UMBC swept weekend America East baseball conference series over Easter weekend as league play entered the second week. The Retrievers took three tight games against UMass Lowell, while the Bearcats went on the road to sweep three at Maine. Hartford was named the Team of the Week by New England Baseball Journal after going 5-0 in non-conference action. Albany also won a pair of games, including splitting a doubleheader at Harvard.

Player of the Week
David MacKinnon, Hartford, Jr., 1B, Easton, Mass.
- Went 12-for-19 (.632 avg.) in a 5-0 week for the Hawks.
- Scored five runs and drove in nine as Hartford beat Fairfield, Bryant and swept a three-game set at Villanova.
- Finished with an .842 slugging percentage and a .636 on-base percentage.
- Did not commit an error in 38 chances at first.
Pitcher of the Week
Conrad Wozniak, UMBC, Sr., RHP, Cypress, Texas
- Tossed a seven-inning complete-game shutout in a 1-0 win over UMass Lowell.
- Struck out five and did not allow an extra-base hit in the contest.
- Allow just six total baserunners in the game, including one intentional walk.
- Only one runner reached second base in the contest.
Rookie of the Week
AJ Wright, UMBC, Fr., 3B, Cherry Hill, N.J.
- Led UMBC with a .571 batting average, going 8-for-14 in a 4-0 week for the Retrievers.
- Totaled two doubles, scored three runs and drove in a pair.
- Had a .714 slugging percentage and three multi-hit games during the week.
