BOSTON - Conference play in men's lacrosse began over the weekend and resulted in Albany, Binghamton and Hartford picking up wins. The Great Danes used a 10-1 run in the second half to beat Stony Brook, 16-10, while Binghamton downed UMBC, 16-10, and Hartford upended UMass Lowell, 9-8 on Alex Brown's goal in triple overtime.

Player of the Week
Ben Kocis, Binghamton - So., Midfielder, Huntington, N.Y.
- Tallied six points to lead Binghamton to a 16-10 win over UMBC.
- Scored a pair of goals and handed out four assists.
- Helped Binghamton tie a Division I program record with 16 goals.
Defensive Player of the Week
Ryan Vanderford, Hartford - So., Goalkeeper, Montclair, N.J.
- Had a .793 goals-against average and .590 save percentage in leading Hartford to two wins last week.
- Stopped 23 shots.
- Made 15 saves in a 9-8 overtime win over UMass Lowell Saturday.
Rookie of the Week
Joe Licata, Binghamton - Fr., Midfielder, Holtsville, N.Y.
- Racked up four points in Binghamton's 16-10 win over UMBC Saturday.
- Scored three goals and added an assist.
