BOSTON - Albany and Stony Brook are both ranked among the top 15 men's lacrosse teams in the nation heading into its matchup this weekend. The Great Danes upended UMass last week while the Seawolves beat #16 Rutgers. UMBC and Vermont also picked up wins heading into the opening weekend of conference play.

Player of the Week
Matt Schultz, Stony Brook - Sr., Attacker, Smithtown, N.Y.
- Tallied seven points to lead Stony Brook to a 15-6 win over Rutgers Friday.
- Scored four goals and added three assists.
- The win was the Seawolves' first over a ranked opponent since they beat Princeton on April 4, 2015.
Defensive Player of the Week
Blaze Riorden, Albany - Sr., Goalkeeper, Fairport, N.Y.
- Stopped 14-of-16 shots he faced in Albany's 16-4 win over UMass Wednesday.
- Allowed only two goals in 55 minutes of action.
- Recorded an .875 save percentage.
- Second-straight Defensive Player of Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Dawes Milchling, Vermont - Fr., Attacker, Cockesville, Md.
- Scored three times and added an assist in Vermont's overtime win vs. Sacred Heart Saturday.
- Scored the game winner in the extra session.
- This is his second career Rookie of the Week honor.
