BOSTON - Three America East women's basketball student-athletes eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau for their careers last week, highlighting the 13th week of the college basketball. Albany's Imani Tate, Maine's Sigi Koizar and UMass Lowell's Lindsey Doucette all reached the career milestone. Albany and Maine continued winning streaks, as the Great Danes have won 15-straight conference games and the Black Bears have won 16-straight home games. Albany sits in first in the America East with a perfect 10-0 record, with Maine just a game behind.
Here are the week 13 award winners:
Player of the Week
Janelle Harrison, Hartford, So., F, Cromwell, Conn.
- Had a career-high 22 points to lead the Hawks to an overtime win at UMass Lowell .
- Padded the stat sheet with career-highs of five assists and five steals while adding five rebounds.
- Scored the team’s first seven points in overtime, going 3-for-3 while converting on a key three-point play in that stretch.
- 13 of her points came in the third and fourth quarters.
- Shot 8-for-10 from the floor.
Rookie of the Week
Ashley Storey, New Hampshire, Fr., F, Cumberland, Maine
- Earns her first career Rookie of the Week honors.
- Scored a career-high 22 points on 10-12 shooting in a win over Binghamton.'
- Also added four rebounds, two blocks and a steal.

- Three America East teams are featured in the Mid-Major Top-25 released on Feb. 2, including Albany (10), Maine (RV) and Stony Brook (RV).
- According to the latest College Basketball RPI report released on Feb. 8, the America East is No. 15 among Division I conferences, an eight spot improvement from this time a year ago. Albany (49) and Maine (85) are in top 100.
- Albany guard Zakiya Saunders tied an America East single-game record with 14 assists in a win over UMBC. The junior has 169 assists on the year and needs just 22 more to enter the top-5 on the America East single-season assist list.
- Hartford battles Stony Brook on Monday night. The Hawks have won 20 of the last 22 meetings with the Seawolves.
- Albany’s Imani Tate, Maine’s Sigi Koizar and UMass Lowell’s Lindsey Doucette all eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau last week. The trio joins Albany’s Shereesha Richards, Maine’s Liz Wood, UNH’s Elizabeth Belanger and Stony Brook’s Brittany Snow as active 1,000-point scorers.
- Albany hosts Binghamton on Monday. The Great Danes have won 11-straight over the Bearcats dating back to 2010-11.
- Albany has won 15-straight conference games, the fourth longest current conference winning streak in the country.
- Vermont has already increased their number of wins from 2014-15 and matched their conference win total from last season.
- Maine’s 16-game home winning streak is the eighth longest such streak in the nation.
- Albany senior Shereesha Richards needs 33 more rebounds to become the fourth player in America East history to record 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. She ranks 7th all-time on the career scoring list with 2,171 points. The senior passsed Jamar Wilson to become the all-time leading scorer in UAlbany history in men’s or women’s basketball.
- The America East is the only non-Power 5 Conference with five teams in the top-85 of scoring defense (Maine 6, Albany-12, Stony Brook-47, Binghamton-66, UMBC-85).
