- The second half of the conference schedule opens up on Wednesday.
- Hartford hosts UMass Lowell, a game that will air on ESPN3.
- Both teams enter the game trying to snap three-game losing streaks.
- UMass Lowell took the first meeting of the season on Jan. 6, 80-75. The River Hawks shot 55 percent from the field in the win.
- Stony Brook will try to extend the nation's longest win streak to 14 games when it hosts Binghamton in its You Can Play night.
- The Seawolves have won 13 in a row vs. Binghamton, including a 62-52 win on Jan. 6.
- Maine trails Vermont and New Hampshire by just one game for third place in the conference standings and the Black Bears visit the Catamounts Wednesday.
- Maine, the highest scoring team in the league (77.1 ppg), has won four of its last six.
- Vermont outscored Maine by 18 in the second half on its way to a 90-72 win in the two teams' first meeting on Jan. 6.
- Albany will try to maintain its hold on second place in the standings when it visits UMBC.
- Albany has won 12 of the last 13 meetings including a 73-59 win on Jan. 6 in which five Great Dane scored in twin figures.
- UMBC's Jairus Lyles leads the conference averaging 23.4 ppg in conference play.
- Halfway through conference play, Stony Brook sits atop the conference standings at 8-0. The Seawolves are just the third team in 12 seasons to start league play 8-0 (Albany, 2014-15; Vermont, 2004-05).
- Scoring is up considerably in league play from a year ago with teams averaging 73.6 points per game, up 11.9 points from the midway point last year.
- Stony Brook holds a league-best RPI of 54 (as of 2/1), the best rating for an America East team this late in the season since Vermont’s 2004-05 squad finished at #25.
- The Seawolves are ranked 17th in the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25 and received one vote in the AP Top 25 poll.
- Second-place Albany (6-2) has won 15 of its last 18 games and is a perfect 9-0 at home this season.
- Vermont, winner of three of its last four, and New Hampshire, winner of four its last five, sit in a tie for third place at 5-3.
- Fifth-place Maine (4-4) has improved its win total from last season by five with eight regular-season games left.
- Jameel Warney is one of just two players in the country (New Mexico State’s Pascal Siakam) to lead his conference in scoring (18.2 ppg), rebounding (10.4 rpg) and blocks (3.1 bpg).
- Warney moved into third place on the conference's all-time rebound list last week and currently has 1,137 for his career.
- America East ranks 23rd out of 32 Division I conferences in RPI, according to the Jan. 25 College Basketball News RPI Report, a three-spot improvement from this time last year.
- Seven of America East’s nine teams have better RPIs than at this time last year.
