BOSTON - Men's lacrosse action is in full swing as all seven America East programs were in action last week. #18 Albany outscored Drexel, 7-1, in the fourth quarter to post a 20-14 win Sturday. Here are the week #2 award winners:
Player of the Week
Seth Oakes, Albany - Jr., Attacker, Akwesane, N.Y.
- Tallied a career-high eight points to lead Albany to a win over Drexel Saturday.
- Tied his career high with six goals and added a pair of assists.
- Three of his goals came in the fourth quarter.
Defensive Player of the Week
Troy Reh, Albany - So., Defender, Rocky Point, N.Y.
- Picked up a career-high seven ground balls in Albany's 20-14 win over Drexel Saturday.
- Caused a pair of turnovers.
- Helped hold the Dragons to just one fourth-quarter goal.
Rookie of the Week
Zach Ornstein, Fr., Midfielder/Faceoff, Howell, N.J.
- Won 68 percent (26-for-38) of the faceoffs he took in Albany's win over Drexel Saturday.
- Picked up 11 ground balls.
- Scored his first career collegiate goal in the first quarter.
