BOSTON - After an exciting 2015-16 regular season came to an end on Sunday, the stage is for the start of the #AETourney this weekend. Eight teams will head to Binghamton for the quarterfinals and semifinals March 5 & 6. The title game will take place on Friday, March 11 at 4:30 PM on ESPNU.
Albany's Imani Tate earned the last America East Player of the Week award of the season while Vermont's Hayley Robertson picked up Rookie of the Week presented by Under Armour accolades.

Player of the Week
Imani Tate, Albany, Jr., G, Bronx, N.Y.
- Averaged 25.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 5.5 steals per game with a .667 field goal percentage in a 2-0 week.
- 23 points on 9-14 shooting, seven assists and six rebounds in a win over UMass Lowell.
- 28 points, four assists, six rebounds and eight steals in a win over Hartford.
Rookie of the Week
Hayley Robertson, Vermont, Fr., G,
- Averaged 9.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week.
- Nine points, seven rebounds, seven assists in a win at New Hampshire.
- Nine points, 10 rebounds in a win over Stony Brook.
Notes
- Two America East teams are featured in the Mid-Major Top-25 released on Feb. 23, including Albany (11) and Maine (18)
- According to the latest College Basketball RPI report released on Feb. 22, the America East is No. 16 among Division I conferences, a seven spot improvement from this time a year ago. Albany (52) and Maine (69) are in the top 100.
- Maine and Albany are Co-Regular Season Champions for the second-straight year. The conference had never had co-champions prior to last season.
- Albany is the top seed in the America East Championship for the third time in the last four years.
- Shereesha Richards tied a career-high with 41 points in a win over UMass Lowell.
- Vermont ended the season with back-to-back wins, the first back-to-back conference victories for the team since defeating Binghamton and New Hampshire in February last season.
- Binghamton earned the fifth seed, the highest finish for the team since 2010-11.
- UMBC finished with its most conference wins since 2011-12.
- Stony Brook is a top-3 seed for the third-straight season.
