BOSTON - We enter final week of the America East women's basketball regular season with still much left to be decided in the conference standings. Albany and Maine have clinched the top-two seeds, but the order is still in the balance with the teams even at 13-1 in the conference standings. UMBC and Stony Brook could finish anywhere between third and sixth, while Hartford and Binghamton could end up anywhere from third to seventh. New Hampshire, which has won three-straight, can be anywhere from fifth to seventh.
The America East Women's Basketball Championship will take place March 5-6 in Binghamton, N.Y. with the championship game to be played March 11 at the highest remaining seed.
Here are the week 15 award winners:
Player of the Week
Sigi Koizar, Maine, Jr., G, Vienna Austria
- Earns her second-straight Player of the Week award.
- Scored 30 points on 13-19 shooting (68.4%) in a win over Stony Brook.
- Added seven rebounds and four assists in the contest.
- Helped pull Maine into a tie for first place at 13-1.
Rookie of the Week
Ashley Storey, New Hampshire, Fr., F, Cumberland, Maine
- Earns her second Rookie of the Week honor.
- Averaged 9.0 points per game on 61.0% shooting in a 2-0 week.
- Also added 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game.
- Grabbed nine boards in a win over UMass Lowell.
- Scored 14 points on 6-7 shooting to go with five rebounds and three blocks in a win over Hartford

- Two America East teams are featured in the Mid-Major Top-25 released on Feb. 16, including Albany (11) and Maine (18)
- According to the latest College Basketball RPI report released on Feb. 22, the America East is No. 15 among Division I conferences, an eight spot improvement from this time a year ago. Albany (51) and Maine (89) are in top 100.
- UMBC's Taylor McCarley became the all-time leader in both free throws made and free throws attempted in program history, while also scoring her 1,000th career point in a win over Vermont on Saturday.
- Maine's Sigi Koizar leads the league in both 3-point field goals made (71) and 3-point field goal percentage (43.8%). She is 12 made 3-pointers away from entering the America East single-season top-5 list.
- Three America East teams are on winning streaks heading into the final week of the season: Maine (10), UMBC (4) and UNH (3).
- Albany senior Shereesha Richards became just the fourth player in America East history to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds in her career.
- Heading into the final week, Albany and Maine are guaranteed to finish first or second. UMBC and Stony Brook can finish anywhere between third to sixth, while Binghamton and Hartford can finish anywhere from third to seventh. New Hampshire can finish anywhere between fifth and seventh. Vermont will be the No. 8 seed.
- Albany's Zakiya Saunders has 192 assists on the season, the fifth-most in a single season in America East history. She is just two behind former Maine guard, Amy Vachon, for fourth on the list. The 192 helpers are the most for any America East player since Christine Kinneary had 214 for Boston U. in 2007-08.
- Binghamton senior Kim Albrecht’s 91.3 free throw percentage is currently the second highest in America East history in a single season. Maine’s Bracey Barker shot 92.0% back in 2006-07 and is the only other player to finish the season shooting better than 90%.
