ORONO, Maine - On the day Jameel Warney became the third player in America East history to score 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, Stony Brook secured the league's men's basketball regular season title with a win at Maine. The Seawolves will be the No. 1 seed for the America East Playoffs and have home court advantage throughout the tournament.

The regular-season crown is Stony Brook's fourth in program history, all coming in the last seven years. The Seawolves (23-5, 14-1 AE) ran off a string of 18-straight wins before falling at Albany Wednesday and are a perfect 12-0 at Island FCU Arena this season.

Warney scored 20 points and added nine rebounds, joining Malik Rose and Tunji Awojobi as the only players in America East history in the 2,000, 1000 club. He is the 110th player in the history of Division college basketball to reach the milestone.
