University at Albany's Paula Heuser headlined five America East field hockey standouts named All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) on Tuesday. Heuser was a first-team selection for the third-straight year while teammate Maxi Primus, Pacific's Kriekie van Wyk and Stanford's Caroline Beaudoin and Kelsey Bing were also honored.
The five America East selections are the most in a single season since 2011.
Heuser is the first America East standout to earn All-America recognition all four years. She concluded her career as the conference's all-time leading scorer after ranking in the nation's top 20 this seaon with 47 points, 17 goals and 13 assists this season.
Primus and van Wyk were second-team choices while Beaudoin and Bing were third-team honorees.
Overall, 104 America East field hockey student-athletes have earned All-America recognition all-time.
