STOCKTON, Calif. - The 2016 America East Field Hockey Championship begins Thursday with four quarterfinal contests. The University of the Pacific will serve as the site for this year's championship, which takes place Nov. 3-6.
The championship begins with with cross-divisional quarterfinal action, which will be split over two days. West top seed Stanford will face East #4 seed UMass Lowell in the first quarterfinal Thursday at 12 p.m. PT followed by East #1 Albany vs. West #4 UC Davis at 2:30 p.m. PT.
On Friday, East #2 Maine takes on West #3 California at 12 p.m. PT and West #2 Pacific faces East #3 New Hampshire at 2:30 p.m.
The Stanford-UMass Lowell winner will square off with the Maine-California winner in the first semifinal on Saturday at 12 p.m. PT while the Albany-UC Davis winner will battle the Pacific-New Hampshire winner in the second semifinal Saturday at 2:30 p.m. PT.
Saturday’s winners will square off the 2016 America East title on Sunday at 1 p.m. PT
The entire championship will be streamed for free at AmericaEast.TV and be available on computers, tablets and smartphones.
