BOSTON - Hartford, New Hampshire and Stony Brook each won a pair of games over the Thanksgiving holiday as America East teams combined to go 9-11 last week. Albany, Maine and Vermont also grabbed victories in a week that had numerous outstanding individual performances. Here are the week three award winners:
Player of the Week
Imani Tate, Albany, Sr., G, Bronx, N.Y.
- Averaged 27.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game in a 1-1 week for the Great Danes.
- Totaled 31 points, five assists and four rebounds while shooting 53.8% from the field in an overtime loss at Fordham.
- Posted 24 points on 7-of-14 shooting and six assists in an overtime win against Siena.
- Shot 52.5% for the week.
Rookie of the Week
Sierra DaCosta, Hartford, Fr., G, Philadelphia, Pa.
- Averaged 14.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in a 2-1 week for the Hawks.
- Notched double figures in all three games last week.
- Scored 15 points, including going 4-4 from 3-point range in a loss to Providence.
- Notched 14 points on 7-10 shooting from the free throw line in a win over Monmouth.
- Finished the weekend with 14 points in the Christmas City Classic championship game.
- Named to Christmas City Classic All-Tournament Team.
