Stony Brook's Eisenberg, Albany's Gronostaj Win #AEXC Honors

BOSTON – It was a bye week for many cross country squads last weekend. Those that were in action all competed in the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University. Stony Brook was the top America East finisher for the men, placing 17th overall. The women for UMass Lowell finished 12th overall, the highest finish for any America East team.

Below are this week’s individual award-winners:

 

Women’s Performer of the Week

Christine EisenbergStony Brook – Sr., Distance Runner, Hauppauge, N.Y.  

  • Placed 34th overall at the Paul Short Invitational (6K) with a time of 20:42
  • Was the top America East finisher leading Stony Brook to a 19th-place finish

 

Men’s Performer of the Week

Kyle Gronostaj, Albany – Jr., Distance Runner, East Greenbush, N.Y.

  • Placed 83rd overall at the Paul Short Invitational with a time of 24:42
  • Finished first among America East runners, leading Albany to a 23rd-place finish
