BOSTON - Conference play began in America East women's soccer over the weekend and both New Hampshire and Vermont got off to 1-0 starts with victories. The Wildcats showed their potent offense in a 6-0 win over Binghamton, while Vermont edged Stony Brook, 1-0. Both UMBC and Albany as well as Hartford and Maine finished in 1-1 ties.

Player of the Week
Brooke Murphy, New Hampshire, So., Monson, Mass.
- Scored two goals in 6-0 conference-opening win over Binghamton.
- Was one of only two players in the conference to score multiple goals last week.
- The six goals was the highest scoring output for New Hampshire since a home win against Northeastern University on Nov. 4, 2003.
Rookie of the Week
Gaby Dorsey, New Hampshire, Fr., Hubertus, Wis.
- Scored her first career goal while also adding an assist in a 6-0 win over Binghamton.
Notes
- Hartford's six-game unbeaten streak came to an end with a loss to Fairleigh Dickinson last week. It was the longest for the team since going unbtean in eight-straight games in 2012.
- New Hampshire's six goals were the most for the team since since a home win against Northeastern University on Nov. 4, 2003.
- New Hampshire has won four-straight America East regular-season games dating back to last year and is unbetean in its last seven vs. conference opponents including last year's America East tournament.
