BOSTON - New Hampshire stayed unbeaten by winning a pair of games to take the Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic. At 4-0-1, the Wildcats' .900 win percentage is tied for eighth-best in the country and they are one of just 22 teams without a loss.

Here are the week third weekly award winners of the season:

Player of the Week
Leo Melgar, Albany - Jr., Midfielder, Sao Paulo, Brazil

  • Tallied five points on two goals and an assist in Albany's 4-0 win over UMass Thursday.
  • The five points are the most by an America East player in a game this season.

Rookie of the Week
Edward Venta-Yepes, UMass Lowell - Fr., Midfielder, Lowell, Mass.

  • Scored the game-winning goal in UMass Lowell's 2-0 win over Buffalo Friday.
  • Set home a shot off a rebound in the 20th minute.
  • Had a team-high four shots on the week.

Notes

  • America East teams are 20-16-6 on the season, a .536 winning percentage.
  • Six of those wins came over teams that reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago (Binghamton and UMBC over Ohio State, UMBC over Oakland, Hartford and UMass Lowell over Monmouth, New Hampshire over Hartwick).
  • New Hampshire won Vermont's Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic with 2-0 wins over UNC Asheville and Central Conn. State.
  • The Wildcats are 7-0-2 in their last nine games at Virtue Field.
  • At 4-0-1, the Wildcats' .900 win percentage is tied for eighth-best in the country and they are one of just 22 teams without a loss.
  • Albany (4-0 over UMass), Binghamton (3-2 over St. Peter's), UMass Lowell (2-0 over Buffalo) and Vermont (2-1 over Central Conn. State) also posted wins last week.
  • Albany (over George Mason), Binghamton (over Manhattan) and UMass Lowell (over LIU Brooklyn) also earned wins last week.
  • UMBC, which suffered its first loss of the season Saturday at Loyola, was ranked 11th in the NSCAA national poll last week.
