Clark, Kallur Earn Capital One Academic All-America Honors

Two University of Vermont track & field student-athletes have been named to Capital One Academic All-American Division I teams.  Junior Martin Kallur was named a Second Team member, and junior Alicia Clark was named a Third Team member.

Kallur was a unanimous, repeat selection to the America East outdoor track & field All-Academic team.  He was an All-Conference performer at the conference championship, placing third in the pole vault, leaping a distance of 14’ 11”.  He also placed fourth in the men’s long jump (23’ 2”).

The junior also was the recipient of the inaugural Elite 18 award at the indoor track & field championship.  Kallur owns a 4.00 GPA, and is pursuing a double major in both political science and Italian studies.

Clark is studying Business Administration and currently holds a 3.98 GPA.  She placed seventh in the outdoor track & field conference championship in the 10,000-meter run.

The Pawlet, Vermont native was an All-Conference, repeat selection to the 2015 America East indoor track & field All-Academic team.

Clark and Kallur were both eligible to be named Capital One Academic All-Americans by being named to First-Team Academic All-District honorees back on May 22nd.

The 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-District ® Men’s/Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
