SBU, Albany Meet for #AEWLAX Title Sunday

STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Rivals meet in the America East women's lacrosse title game for the fourth-straight season as top-seeded Stony Brook hosts No. 2 Albany on ESPN3 at noon ET. Eric Frede and Sarah Crennan are on the call.

Stony Brook (17-1) is searching for its third-straight title and enters the game ranked sixth in the IWLCA Coaches' Poll and fifth in the InsideLacrosse Media Poll. The Seawolves outscored UMBC, 12-2, in the second half on their way to a 16-5 win in the semifinals. Courtney Murphy tied an America East single-game tournament record with seven goals.

Albany (14-3) is after its third title in the last five years and is ranked 18th by Inside Lacrosee and 19th by the IWLCA. The Great Danes played their first overtime game in tournament history in the semifinals, using a Rachel Bowles goal in the final minute to beat the Catamounts, 14-13.
