For the second-straight year, Albany senior attackman Lyle Thompson has earned the Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award as the Most Outstanding Player, given by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).
Thompson, one of five Tewaaraton finalists, finished the 2015 season with the second highest scoring year in Division I history with 121 points off 52 goals and 69 assists, second only to his own 2014 total. He led all of DI with 6.39 points per game and 3.63 assists per game and scored multiple points in all 19 UAlbany games this season.
Being named a USILA First Team All-American on Thursday, Thompson adds to his award list this season, including America East Player of the Year, America East All-Conference First Team, Inside Lacrosse midseason All-American and Lacrosse Magazine midseason All-American. He also set new Division I scoring records with 400 points and 225 assists in his career.
